How to report a number on TelCheck: step-by-step guide

Report a suspicious number on TelCheck in a few clicks: find the entry, choose the category, write a helpful comment and submit the report.

Reporting a number on TelCheck is one of the simplest and most useful actions you can take to protect the TelCheck community against scams, aggressive canvassing and robocalls. Each report directly contributes to the reputation score and provides valuable information to other users before they answer.

Step 1: find the number's page

Go to telcheck.fr and enter the number — national (0612345678) or international (+33612345678). TelCheck displays the reputation page with the current score, existing reports and TelCheck community comments. If the number has never been reported, your contribution will be the first and most valuable.

Step 2: click the report button

Click Report this number. No account or registration is needed — reporting is anonymous and free.

Step 3: choose the right category

  • Spam : unsolicited call with no particularly deceptive content.
  • Scam / Arnaque : fraud attempt, request for money or personal information under false pretences.
  • Telemarketing : unsolicited commercial call offering a product or service.
  • Survey / Sondage : call seeking your opinion or data.
  • Debt collection : call from a debt recovery agency, legitimate or otherwise.
  • Legitimate service : positive report confirming the number belongs to a trusted service.
  • Other : anything that does not fit the above categories.

Step 4: write an informative comment and submit

Briefly describe what happened: did the caller introduce themselves? What was the purpose of the call? Was it a robot or a human? A 20–50-word comment is sufficient. Click submit — your report is immediately factored into the score and visible to the entire TelCheck community, no account required.

Also report on Signal Conso for official action

Reporting on TelCheck protects the community in real time. For official administrative action, also report on Signal Conso (signalconso.gouv.fr) — the government platform that forwards complaints to the DGCCRF for potential enforcement.
